Our Staff

The way that the Event Medicine Company works is that we hold a database of staff, most of whom have a "day job" (with, for example, an NHS trust) and come and work with us when available.  We also welcome staff who are self employed.

For larger events, a fully functional field hospital is often set up, staffed by approporiately experienced Doctors, Nurses, ODPs, Medical Technicians and First Aiders.  For other events where we have staff out on the road (or on standby with a vehicle) we use Paramedics, Ambulance Technicians and Ambulance Assistants.

We have very strict criteria in line with our CQC registration which dictates what certification and proven experience and competencies are required in which role.

Outlined below are our key roles

Doctors - All our doctors are registered and licensed to practise with the GMC.
Nurses - All our nurses are registered to practise with the NMC.
Paramedics - All our paramedics are registered to practise with the HPC, Emergency driving certification is ESSENTIAL.
Ambulance Technicians - Hold an IHCD Qualification which has been certified by an NHS Trust, Emergency driving certification is essential.
Ambulance Assistants - Hold relevant first aid qualifications and competencies (detail available on request), Emergency driving certification is essential, Drivers license ideally includes category C1.
First Aiders - Minimum is a current First Aid at Work certificate (3 day), Ideally a current Basic Life Support certificate with AED.
pic to follow Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) - All our ODPs are registered to practise with the HPC.
pic to follow Student Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, ODPs - A lot of enquiries come in from students. We would love to work with you while you are doing your training.  In order to do this, you need some kind of certified qualification to prove that you meet the requirements of one of our designations.
