Vacancies
If you would like to work for the Event Medicine Company we would love to hear from you.
We are a leading provider of event medicine in the UK and fulfil contracts all over the country. We employ all grades of pre-hospital care providers, from doctors, nurses, paramedics, ambulance staff to first aiders all of whom must hold current qualifications in their fields. In addition we employ control staff along with administrative and logistic personnel.
If you are interested in working with us please complete our application form and return it with the documentation requested. Once processed, and if accepted, we will send some additional paperwork to be completed covering national insurance, pay status and health and safety issues.
Employment with us is normally classed as a second job and will be taxed under PAYE. However we do welcome the self-employed and on receipt of a Certificate of Self-employment any payments can be made gross.
We operate a database of staff and everyone is allocated to an e-group so that you can be kept updated with the contracts we secure and their staffing requirements.
We are aware of the issues that exist in some NHS Ambulance Trusts surrounding staff, particularly paramedics, working in the private sector. Whilst every Trust is different in its approach to this we are aware that declarations may have to be made. In that case please give our name and contact details to your Trust HR Department and they are very welcome to contact us. From our Company perspective and being aware of the issues, we will never ask staff to work within the footprint of their own Trust unless they volunteer and are happy so to do.
Another area of concern when employing staff is indemnity insurance. Some, particularly the self-employed will bring their own cover with them but all others when accepted onto our database enjoy the privilege of our corporate indemnity insurance when they are working for us.
All necessary equipment will be provided when working with us and in the unlikely event that personal equipment is used then this will be replaced by the Company.
We hope that this answers the majority of any initial questions and we look forward to receiving your completed paperwork.
