First Aid at Work (FAW)

The Event Medicine are able to offer First Aid at work courses in your workplace. This can be far more cost effective than sending staff out of the office for training when there are several staff needing training.

HSE GUIDANCE FOR EMPLOYERS:  The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require you to provide adequate and appropriate first aid equipment, facilities and people so youremployees can be given immediate help if they are injured or taken ill at work

As a rough guide the HSE recommends that in low hazard workplaces (such as offices, shops and libraries) it is advisable to have one first aider per one hundred staff.

In higher hazard places of work (such as engineering, construction, warehouses, factories, assembly lines, or places of work which involve heavy machinery, sharp instruments or chemical manufacture) the recommendation is one first aider per fifty staff.

The Event Medicine Company specialise in workplace based training - which means that not only are your staff trained on site, the course, whilst following the HSE guidlelines, can place particular emphasis on parts relevant to your staff.

If you have a group of 4 or more personnel who need training, please feel free to contact us using the course enquiries page on the website.
