Operational Co-ordinator
Brenda Tye qualified as a nurse in 1965 having trained at St Helier Hospital in Carshalton, Surrey. Having spent many years in different areas of hospital nursing she became attracted to Practice Nursing.
After some twenty years as a practice nurse in Aldershot followed by some agency nursing she came in at the start of the Event Medicine Company and joined Dr Robertson in his new venture. After three years running the medical treatment unit and first aid post at a wide range of events she retired from nursing.
Brenda has remained with the Event Medicine Company in the administrative role of Operational Co-Ordinator which really means she can be asked to undertake any role at any time!
Within the Event Medicine Company Brenda is responsible for the checking and turning over of the drugs in the paramedic, primary care and resuscitation equipment scales along with the first aid posts equipment scales. In addition she looks after all aspects of the Company’s corporate uniform.
