Mr Stuart Farrar

Stuart Farrar has spent most of his working life in the field of health and safety, spending 31 years in the police force and being responsible for bringing scientific accident investigation to Sussex Police. He retired in senior rank and was immediately invited into the health and safety industry and the safety of sports grounds in the post of safety officer at Premiership football club Fulham.

At Fulham he was responsible for the health and safety of all properties belonging to the Club. Whilst there he carried out audits for a number of other clubs in other divisions and after nine years moved to the post of stadium manager at Brentford. During this period he studied for a number of health and safety qualifications and is a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.

In 2005 he gained a teaching qualification in health and safety and various related subjects including first aid. In addition to being a safety consultant he teaches at various colleges and companies throughout the south east.

In 2006 he qualified to assess safety stewards at sports grounds and carries out training and assessing at all NVQ levels at a number of sporting venues in the London area including Twickenham Rugby ground.

Stuart has been with The Event Medicine Company as its Health and Safety Manager for the last 4 years and has attended all its major public events.
