The Emergency Services Show

The Emergency Services Show, held at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry in Warwickshire in November, was first held in 2006.

It has steadily expanded since and has become a major event on the emergency services calendar in the UK. In fact it has doubled in size from 2007 to 2008.

It is a forum for all emergency services and others involved in incident response of all types. Many different organisations, agencies, charities and commercial companies were represented and it provides a good opportunity to bring suppliers and end-users together in one exhibition. An event such as this that spans the range of agencies allows suppliers who traditionally may have serviced one part of the emergency service industry to reach other potential clients.

The Event Medicine Company decided to take a stand at the Show in 2008 with three clear aims. To raise the profile of the Company amongst other agencies and services, to promote our contingency planning capabilities along with our large field medical facilities and also to use the opportunity for potential recruiting. We believe we succeeded in all three and it was interesting just how many visitors to our stand had heard about us and what we are up to. It proved an excellent networking opportunity. In addition we did in fact secure some new recruits for the staff database.
